Dr. Manish Arora co-founded Insaito, Inc., in 2020. He previously worked at AMD Research from 2012 to 2020 on CPU-GPU architectures, making key contributions to enabling high-density computing with innovative power and thermal optimization solutions. With 40+ patent applications and hundreds of invention disclosures, he contributed to ~10% of all intellectual property disclosures during his tenure there. His work is even more relevant today with the proliferation of dense computing for HPC, Data Centres, and AI Training and Inference.
Before his stint at AMD, Dr. Arora worked on Samsung’s world-first blue-ray home theatre system and developed a scalable audio pipeline with embedded CPU and DSP processors. He has deep expertise in high-performance speech, image, and video algorithms.
During his PhD at UC San Diego, Dr. Arora worked on the impact of fixed-function accelerators on chip, platform, and system architecture. The work demonstrated the benefits and trade-offs of a new system design approach to accommodate growing numbers of accelerators, a hypothesis also formulated by Apple iPhone chips. Dr. Arora also co-developed GreenDroid, a massively specialized processor.
